Description of Services
DEVIATED FIXED ROUTE:
Frankfort Transit provides three deviated fixed routes. All routes including deviations are available to the general public. The Route buses run every 30 minutes Monday- Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 6:35 p.m. and from 8:45 a.m.-3:15 p.m. on Saturdays and most holidays. Route fares cost $0.25 per trip with one free transfer available at our Clinton St. Main Terminal. Buses will stop at designated bus stops and shelters. These routes provide full coverage of all major shopping centers, doctor offices, the hospital, senior citizen complexes, and most State Office buildings. All route vehicles are fully handicap accessible and are equipped with at 1000 lb. wheel chair lift or ramp. Assistance boarding and disembarking the vehicle is available upon request.
What are Deviations?
The bus routes keep a set timetable; the buses can provide deviations up to 3/4 mile off the route to a specific location for curb to curb service. Deviations are available to the general public with or without disabilities. Fixed Route Deviations cost $0.50. This service is available by appointment only. Deviations must be scheduled before 2:30 p.m. on the day prior to service.
DEMAND RESPONSE:
Frankfort Transit operates a Demand Response Service providing one way, door to door service, depending on the needs and location of the passenger. Demand Response Services are available Monday- Friday from 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. The demand response vehicles are fully handicap accessible and are equipped with at 1000 lb. wheel chair lift or ramp.
Demand Response Services are only available if there is not an accessible, Deviated Fixed Route stop within 3/4 of a mile of your address, your appointment time or work schedule prohibits you from riding the route bus or with an approved reasonable accommodation due to ADA requirements.

Demand Response services cost $2.00, one way. Due to limited space, trips will be provided on a first come, first served basis.

Seasonal Trolley:
Frankfort Transit operates a seasonal trolley April- October. The trolley runs Tuesday- Saturday, 10:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.. The trolley is handicap accessible and equipped with a wheel chair lift. In order to maintain its historic relevance, the trolley is NOT equipped with a bike rack. Trolley stops are marked with a "TROLLEY SIGN". Passengers can enjoy a fully narrated scenic tour of downtown. Popular sites included on the tour are: Buffalo Trace, Old Capital, Capital, Governor's Mansion, Rebecca Ruth's Candies and many more. This service is provided free of charge.
